What Does the Check Engine Light Mean?

The Check Engine Light is connected to the Engine Control Unit or ECU. The ECU is a computer that uses various sensors to keep track of your vehicle’s performance and emissions. If one of these sensors gives the ECU a different reading than it should, the ECU will then turn on the Check Engine Light.

What Should I Do When the Check Engine Light Comes On?
