All Edmond drivers should know when to rotate tires to ensure they keep their Volkswagen in tip-top condition. But, how often should you rotate your tires? Typically, most people rotate their tires every 5,000 to 7,500 miles. However, this is a recommendation and not just a rule.

Allen Samuels Volkswagen in Oklahoma City service team has a guide for you to learn how many miles to rotate tires and much more. Read on and then visit our tire store

How Many Miles to Rotate Tires

So you might still be asking, “How often should you rotate your tires?” or wondering about how many miles to rotate tires. Well, the answer can depend on rear-wheel drive (RWD) or front-wheel drive (FWD) since the engine power is designated to the front or rear tires. If you drive a RWD or FWD, just keep the following tire rotation tips in mind:

  • Cars with FWD or RWD should have a tire rotation every 5,000 to 7,000 miles. However, check your owner’s manual for the right interval.
  • If you’re a DIY Oklahoma City driver, then FWD tire rotation requires you to flip slides when moving the rear tires. When you move your front tires to the back, keep them on the same side.
  • Invert the process above when you rotate tires on RWD cars. Switch sides when moving the front tires to the rear, but keep your rear tires on the same side when moving them up.
  • Off-roading through Norman area can affect your tires.
